When you sow in tears you will reap with joy

When you work and toil for something its rarely fun. And thats why i have given up on so many things, and i quess it has been the same with you. Sowing constantly means to toil and work for something you want to see happening in the future. Like being a mom; practising your instrument; studying; working out; keeping your heart free for the Special Future Someone; being constant in prayer; serving; doing what God has told you to do... It can mean that you have to give up many things that could ease your heart or make you laugh (for a little while). Its hard or impossible when you forget the reaping, and the eternal joy. Yes - the toil lasts for a while but the joy lasts forever.

So next time you feel like giving up, think about what will happen when you dont, think about the laughter to come; dont throw everything aside just for a perishable moment of ease! Keep in mind that you can have an everlasting joy, when you just refuse to give up.

"Those who sow in tears
shall reap with shouts of joy!
He who goes out weeping,
bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
bringing his sheaves with him." Psalm 126:5,6

There is someone cheering you on

Have you ever wached a movie and during the part when its not going so well for the main character you keep saying to him/her (knowing its a movie and that no-one can hear you anyway) "Pelase, dont give up now! You can do it!"
But it says in the Bible, that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses... I can imagine all the saints - Moses, Joshua, Esther, all the angels and especially Peter eating pop-corn, knowing that I cant hear a thing besides maybe only a little voice in my heart, still shouting: "Dont give up now! You can do it! God will help you! The Holy Spirit is right there next to you! Keep on believing!"
Ofcourse angels dont eat pop-corn... but if they want me to succeed more than i want the main character to do well and make the right choices, it is a loud shout there in the heavenlies...!

"Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses let us strip off and throw aside every unnecessary weight and sin wich so readily clings to and entangels us, and let us run with patient endurancethe race set before us..." Hebrews 12:1-4
